A Swiss national, Dr. Iwan Dietschi graduated from the prestigious Ecole Hȏtelière de Lausanne and joined The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company in 1995 in Washington D.C. (USA). He went on to open the first hotel for the company in the Middle East in Dubai, and held positions in Berlin, Egypt, Singapore, Shanghai, Beijing, and Hong Kong and has been involved in more than 20 hotel openings for Ritz-Carlton and Marriott International, Luxury, on four continents.
He managed The Ritz-Carlton Hotel and Residences in Tokyo after the earthquake and tsunami in 2011. Now, with over 25 years with The Ritz-Carlton brand, Dr. Dietschi has risen to the top of his profession and oversees all aspects of the iconic 280-room The Ritz-Carlton in Shenzhen--the “Silicon Valley of China” and nextdoor to Hong Kong--as the Multi-Property Vice President and General Manager, overseeing 6 other Marriott International hotels in Greater China.
